Planting
With the groundwork completed, we were ready to plant the grape vines! In early June, 1000 plants were delivered and the fun began. Several neighbors, family and friends volunteered to help with this project and in 3 days the 3 fields were planted.
225 Pinot Grigio
400 Tempranillo
375 Merlot
We installed grow tubes and stakes which created a protective and warm environment for the plants. They were nurtured all summer by the pleasant and sunny Arizona climate.
As we enter fall, we prepare the earth again for the next 3 fields to be planted in 2019 - phase 2.
